Welcome to Trusted Canine Companions. We are a Leicestershire based business who specialise in pet dog training, therapy dogs in the home, individual owner trained assistance dogs, dog walking and pet sitting. Trusted Canine Companions have extensive experience working with adults and children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as autistic individuals. Trusted Canine Companions are an inclusive business who are LGBTQIA+ friendly.

Trusted Canine Companions are an acrediated member of IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Training).

Our Services

Pet Dog Training

Trusted Canine Companions offer standard pet dog training in the form of one-to-one training and group training.

Group training sessions take place on Friday 10.30am at Thurmaston Memorial Hall.

Therapy Dogs in the Home

Is your child home schooled? Or does your child find it difficult to get to school?

Trusted Canine Companions offer a unique opportunity to work with children in the home environment – therapy dogs in the home. This can be using the family pet dog or with a dog from Trusted Canine Companions.

Assistance Dog Training

Trusted Canine Companions have extensive experience training assistance dogs from beginner to Public Access Passed. Trusted Canine Companions are happy to help train individual, owner trained clients who are not under an organisation.

Trusted Canine Companions will work with individuals training their assistance dogs under an organisation with written consent from their organisation.

Trusted Canine Companions can also offer to train someone's assistance dog if they are struggling to do so themselves. This will be tailored to the individual's needs and the owner does not need to be present for all the training sessions.

Overcoming Fear of Dogs

Trusted Canine Companions offer sessions to help children or adults overcome a fear of dogs.

This is offered in three initial sessions with a review at the end to discuss progress.

Dog Walking

Trusted Canine Companions offer a dog walking service to dogs who would struggle going with regular dog walkers or into doggy day care. Trusted Canine Companions assess each dog and can offer training as part of the walk.

Pet Sitting

Trusted Canine Companions offer a pet sitting service, going into the home environment to look after your beloved pets while you are away. Trusted Canine Companions have experience working with a variety of different animals.
